Youth

It’s not easy being an adolescent. It never has been. But in today’s society it may be more difficult than ever before. The influence of a fallen world is prevalent upon this age group that is so susceptible to conformity. The allure of being accepted is ever-present and powerful. Whether it is the pressure of joining a gang, being sexually active or succumbing to the use of drugs or alcohol, our youth are continually being attacked by the evil one. The youth of Honduras desperately need to see that there is an alternative, a living hope in the midst of this broken world.

God has permitted Iglesia Cristiana Esperanza Viva to be present as a model of this alternative. Through the proclamation of His Holy Word and the example of committed adults, the Holy Spirit is transforming the lives of this generation of young people. Youth meetings, service opportunities, retreats and simply spending time together in a safe and healthy environment are all ways in which young people are being introduced to Christ and the forgiveness He offers through His saving grace.
