"We both felt more spiritually up-lifted the week we were there, then we have felt in the States in a long time. The Hondurans make it so easy to talk about Christ. When talking about Christ, we never felt as if we may offend someone, like we feel sometimes at home.
Our trip made us both realize how materialistic we have become. So many people in Honduras, have next to nothing, yet they are so very thankful for everything they do have. We have taken things for granted in the past, and this trip helped us to see, that we are truly blessed, and the Hondurans taught us that we should be thankful for everything, and everyone we have in our lives."

"I spent 6 days with Living Hope in March of 2009, with a group from Blue Springs Christian Church. It was an eye opening experience on many levels. The people have an incredible spirit, and a love for God that is simple, powerful and pure. Sometimes in the relative comfort in my life in the US, I lose sight of what it is to mean "give us our daily bread". Going to Honduras is like a reality check. Not necessarily in terms of witnessing poverty or its devastating social impact as you don't have to leave your own city to find that. But more in terms of seeing how these people rely on God, how they lead righteous lives amongst incredible obstacles and unrest socially and politically, and especially in how their prayers are answered. The love they have for each other, their warmth, it's evidence of their love for God. Its easy to be overwhelmed by exotic places and emotions, but I think most who have been here will agree, that there is just something unique and amazing about the people of Honduras. The ministers face trials that are hard for us to imagine, yet are courageous and faithful. Rex and Christine Morey do amazing work, and are missionaries who deserve our support. They've made a huge impact in the neighborhoods in which they live and work. If your seeking an experience to serve, consider Living Hope Ministries. You'll go home with a road map towards a happier, more loving and grateful heart."
