Short-term Mission Teams/groups/Families and Individuals

Mission Trips
Jesus said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. However, He also taught that as we give we receive abundantly in return (Matthew 6:38). It is clear that the blessings do not flow in only one direction. This is a great description of a short-term mission trip with Living Hope Ministries. In reality it is a mutual ministry opportunity. Those coming to serve with LHM have the opportunity to work side by side with their Honduran Christian brothers and sisters. While giving of themselves to bless others, those who partner with the ministry are in return blessed beyond measure.

Living Hope has been accepting mission trip teams since the summer of 2005. Opportunities while on the field include: special programming with youth and children, participation in prayer and worship meetings, visitation with Honduran families, construction and maintenance, teaching in public and private schools and much more. Together we will coordinate a work schedule that helps to both meet the Ministry’s needs and matches the skills and talents of your team members.

During their stay teams live in our Ministry Center located just 5 minutes from the Toncontin International Airport of Tegucigalpa. We are able to accommodate up to 20 individuals. For high school groups, LHM asks you to provide one adult sponsor for every five students and at least one male and one female sponsor for co-ed teams.

When preparing for your trip you can include the following in your budget (per person): round trip airfare to Tegucigalpa, a one-time $35 exit tax, $25 per day for room/board /transportation within the country and lastly project expenses depending upon the type of project your team wishes to do.

Prayerfully consider God’s will and guidance concerning if and when He would have you serve with Living Hope in Honduras. Then contact us. We are ready to talk with you about your mission trip. Whether you have experience or this is your first time, we are here to assist you in coordinating a mutual ministry opportunity that is both productive and spiritually fulfilling.
