Church - Iglesia Cristiana Esperanza Viva
Jesus Christ came into this world to seek and to save the lost. Each and every individual has eternal significance in the eyes of our Creator. Although one’s relationship with God is personal, we were not created to live in isolation. The reconciliation purchased through the blood of Christ was not simply to restore individuals to an intimate relationship with their Heavenly Father but also to a life of community as His children.
Contrary to contemporary belief, the church is not a mere human institution invented by men. Rather, it is a divinely empowered people who live together under God’s authority for their mutual benefit and most importantly His honor and glory. Through the testimony of their shared lives others can come to faith in a God who offers a living hope to a broken world.
Iglesia Cristiana Esperanza Viva is the name of our Honduran church. Begun April 4, 2004, it is an indigenous body of believers amongst whom the grace, love and power of God are lived out. Ministries to children, youth, women, men and couples are instrumental in the maturation of its members. ICEV is a growing congregation that looks upward for direction as it reaches outward to her neighbors.
